The Stock Exchange of Thailand main index rose 4.09 points, or 0.26%, to close at 1,580.54 points today. Total trading value was 41.74 billion baht, with 8 billion shares changed hands. The SET50 index ended at 1,004.88 points, up 2.11 points or 0.21%, in trade worth 26.37 billion baht. The MAI index went up 4.39 points or 0.79%, to close at 557.62 points, with total transaction value of 2.12 billion baht. Local institutions, brokers and retail investors were net buyers of 1.62 billion baht, 497 million baht and 125 million baht respectively.
